For their first recording, the challenge was to tame this wild beast that is En Fer. The result is a music they vaguely refer to as “psych Doom” where you can feel the various influences and experiences of its members, from hard rock to free jazz to harsh noise and progressive rock. But above all, in the sound of Iron, we hear the fusion between its members, a solemn communion towards a single goal, playing loud and in its own way… Rust, bad alloys, its not for En Fer....

Michel's 2000s band Panopticon Eyelids at its best... I think we can call them legends now... This album even has some Voîvod vibes... None more Montréal... En Fer
Reüel started Maggot Breeder as a solo project in the mid-80s... He has since expanded the project to a full band (which includes Charly) as we can hear on this recent release... En Fer
Martin's noise project Wapstan is around for nearly 20 years. He has played in many places in North America and released countless releases of his own "hypothermic drones" on multiples labels... En Fer
This album is an absolute banger. The riffs are especially groovy this time, the vocals are amazing, and the overall thing is supercatchy. If I'd have to list one downside, it's that the mix is so bass-heavy that the sound only truely comes into it's right when listened on good headphones or extremely good speakers. On anything less it can sound like the bass drowns the rest of the music out. 9/10 Buzzario
Big, clanging psych-rock from this Arizona outfit fuses monk-like vocals with slow-winding guitars for songs that feel like strange hymns. Bandcamp New & Notable May 2, 2016
